ASKMYGP Opening Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 6:00pm
  • Closed on Bank Holidays
  • On the second Tuesday of each month, the practice closes at 12:30pm for staff training.

 

What You Can Use ASKMYGP For

  • Routine GP appointments
  • Acute practitioner appointments
  • Medication queries
  • Administrative requests (such as updating contact details)

 

Response Times

  • You’ll receive an acknowledgement response by email within 48 hours after your request is reviewed that will detail your triaged outcome

 

Urgent Requests

  • Same-day urgent requests close at 10:30am.
  • After that time, call the practice directly on 01278 795 445.

 

When the Practice Is Closed

  • Contact NHS 111 for medical advice and support options.
  • In emergencies, always call 999.

 

Helpful Symptom Guide: OPQRST

To describe symptoms clearly:

  • O – Onset: When did it start?
  • P – Provoking: What makes it better or worse?
  • Q – Quality: Sharp, dull, burning, pressure?
  • R – Region: Where is it? Does it spread?
  • S – Severity: Rate 0–10
  • T – Timing: Constant or intermittent?

 

The clinical team reviews all requests that are submitted online, or raised by reception, and triage the most appropriate outcome which may include:

Patients can request a clinician by name and a specific resolution method such as by phone or face to face. The team will try to accommodate these preferences where possible however, both will ultimately be determined by clinical judgment.
Patients will be contacted by the practice as soon as appropriate.
